What you’ve started here doesn’t have to stop

You’ve already felt what it’s like to sit down and create something.

To focus…
to build something slowly…
to see it begin to come together.

And for many people, the hardest part isn’t starting.

It’s keeping that going.
Life gets busy.
You’re not quite sure what to do next.

And slowly… it drifts.

Not because you’ve lost interest,
but because you don’t quite have a clear place to continue.

Continue your Hare portrait with me

That’s exactly what Wild Fibres Art Club is here for.

It’s a calm, supportive space where you can keep building your skills, step by step at your own pace. With guidance that helps things make sense as you go, not all at once.

Keep the creative momentum going ...

You don’t need more ideas… or more pressure.

You just need a clear next step.

Inside the club, there’s always something to come back to —

a project to work on,

guidance to follow,

and a steady way to keep building your skills.

Even if you’re just starting out,
you’ll begin to understand how to “paint with wool”…

and with time, your work starts to feel more natural…

more like the animal you’re trying to capture.

Portraits like this Red Squirrel and Fox are there for you to explore in the membership library.

Ready when you are.

This is how it starts to come together…

Create work you feel quietly proud of

Imagine turning soft wool into lifelike portraits of your favourite wildlife.

Inside Wild Fibres Art Club, you’re guided step by step - so things don’t feel overwhelming, and you can focus on building something that gradually comes together.
Something you feel proud to display… or gift.

Make this part of your life without pressure

Life’s busy and this is designed to fit around that.

All live lessons are recorded, so you can come back to them whenever it suits you. Whether that’s in short pockets of time, or a longer, slower session when you have the space.

No drawing skills needed

You don’t need to be able to draw.

I’ll show you how to transfer your image onto fabric, and guide you through each step — so you can focus on the felting, rather than worrying about getting the outline right.

Build confidence by actually doing it

If you’re not quite sure where to start, that’s completely normal.

The preparation workshops guide you through the tools, materials, and basics… so you can begin feeling ready, rather than overwhelmed.

And as you keep going, your confidence builds naturally, through making, not guessing.

Create alongside others who understand it

There’s something very steadying about being in a space where other people are making too.

Inside the club, you can share your work, ask questions, and see how others approach things — which often helps things click in a way that working alone doesn’t.

Where most people stop
This is usually the point where people drift away from it.

Not because they don’t care…
but because they’re not quite sure what to do next.

They’ve enjoyed it.
They’ve started something…

but without a clear way forward,
it slowly gets put to one side.

And that’s exactly what Wild Fibres Art Club is designed to change.

What happens when you keep going

“I’ve really enjoyed making my robin — and seeing it come together step by step.

The final piece feels so different to the one I made when I first started over a year ago.

Looking back, I can really see how much my felting has improved.

Thank you Sophie for such clear, enjoyable guidance.”

NATURE LOVER & ARTIST

Hi I’m Sophie,

your needle felting teacher

Nature has always been part of my life. From exploring woodlands and streams as a child, to studying marine biology and working in wildlife conservation.

And alongside that, art has always been there too.

For over 13 years, I’ve been teaching people how to work with wool in a way that feels calm, clear, and manageable — especially if they’re just starting out.

Because this isn’t about getting everything perfect.

It’s about understanding what you’re doing…
building confidence as you go…
and creating something that feels like your own.

And that’s what I guide you through inside Wild Fibres Art Club.

When you join, you’re gently guided through everything you need to begin.

We start with the basics — the tools, the wool, and the surfaces — so you know what to use and why, without feeling overwhelmed.

I’ll also share trusted suppliers and resources, so you can find what you need without getting lost in wool jargon.

Learn step by step, at your own pace

All workshops are taught live in our private Facebook group, where you can ask questions and get support as you go.

And if you can’t make it live, everything is recorded — so you can come back to it whenever it suits you.

There’s no pressure to keep up…
you can take it at your own pace.

Lessons are taught live and recorded for your to watch at your own pace.

Build confidence before you go further Before you begin your first full project, the preparation workshops ease you into the process.

So when it’s time to start…
you feel ready…
more relaxed…
and able to enjoy what you’re making.

Because a strong foundation doesn’t just help your work —
it makes the whole experience feel easier and more enjoyable.

This community is amazing! Not only did everyone send such lovely, positive comments my way, but by seeing their beautiful work I could learn how they tackled different elements.

It gave me such a helpful resource — especially for working out that tricky eye on the right of my giraffe portrait.

A massive thank you, Sophie — you make everything in this group so helpful and supportive. The tutorials are amazing, and I can’t believe I was able to do this. Thank you!

I’m always so proud of the work my students create.

Not just because of how it looks…
but because of what’s behind it.
The patience, the learning, and the moment things begin to click.

Each piece reflects their growing understanding… and their own way of seeing the animal they’re working on.

"I'm LOVING the club! - Mel C.,

And that’s what I’d love for you too. Not perfection…but progress you can see. Work that feels more like your own…and something you can feel quietly proud of.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens when I join?
When you join, you’ll be directed to your Membership Hub — this is where all your lessons are stored, and where you’ll spend most of your time watching and working through them.
It’s simple to use, and everything is organised so you can find your way around easily.

How many portraits will I make?
Inside Wild Fibres, we focus on one portrait at a time and work on it together until it’s finished — usually over 6–8 weeks.
This gives you the time to really understand the process and bring the piece to life, without feeling rushed.
Over a year, that usually adds up to around six or seven finished portraits.
You’ll also have access to the full library of past projects — so you can explore other pieces alongside the current one, if you’d like.

Is this suitable for beginners?
Yes — I teach needle felting as if it’s your first time.
So no matter when you join, you’ll be able to follow along and build your skills as you go.
Nothing is rushed, and things start to make sense through doing — not all at once.

Do I need any prior experience?
Not at all.
The preparation workshops guide you through the tools, materials, and basics — so you can begin feeling ready, rather than unsure where to start.

Do I need to be able to draw?
No — you don’t need any drawing skills.
You’ll be given a tracer image for each project, along with guidance on how to transfer it onto fabric — so you can focus on the felting itself.

Where do I watch the live workshops?
All live workshops take place inside a private Facebook group.

What if I can’t attend live?
That’s absolutely fine.
All sessions are recorded and uploaded to the group and your membership hub — so you can watch them whenever it suits you.

I’m in a different time zone — will that matter?
Not at all.
We have members from all over the world, and everything is available on replay — so you can take part in your own time.

How often are new lessons added?
There is a new 90-minute live lesson each week (which is also recorded for replay).
We work on one portrait together step by step — so you’re always building your skills as you go.

What if I’m not very tech confident?
Everything is kept as simple as possible.
And if you ever get stuck, you can ask for help — there’s always someone to guide you.

What materials will I need?
You’ll be guided through everything in the preparation workshops, including tools, wool, and surfaces.
You’ll also get recommendations for trusted suppliers, so you know exactly what to look for.

How can I connect with other members?

You’ll have access to a private Facebook group where you can share your work, ask questions, and connect with others who are learning alongside you.

How much is the membership?
The membership is £16.99 per month
(or £169 per year — 2 months free)
You’ll be charged when you join, and then automatically each month or year.
You can cancel anytime. Read Terms & Conditions here.

What if I join and it’s not for me?
If you’re unsure, the best thing to do is join for a month and have a look around.
That way you can see how it feels before committing longer term.
(Refunds aren’t offered on subscriptions.)

Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — you can cancel your membership at any time from your account.

If I cancel, do I keep access?
Your membership gives you access to all lessons while you’re subscribed.
If you cancel, access to the tutorials will end.
